Lecturer in Economics (BB3195-19-472)
Are you looking to develop your career in an innovative and vibrant enterprise-focused academic community?
At Brighton we embrace individuality and encourage our students and staff to explore their passions and their curiosity. Brighton Business School advances responsible enterprise that makes a real difference and we are proud that REF 2014 judged our Business and Management research to be the 5th most impactful within the UK. We have an ambitious strategy to gain AACSB accreditation.
As part of that strategy we seek to appoint a lecturer who can contribute to teaching economics on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes which offer a variety of economics modules and electives. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a strong quantitative background and those who have experience of, and the ability to teach, econometrics and microeconomics.
Applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and an innovative approach to delivering the curriculum. Ideally, you will have experience of module or course leadership as well as a clear research record. However, applications from candidates with senior professional experience seeking to move to a career in education will also be welcome.
The economics and finance subject group is actively engaged in research and publication, with particular strengths in trade and development; labour, education and environmental economics; socio-economic impact studies and mathematical modelling.
Interviews will be held on 28 or 31 May 2019.
Closing Date: 13 May 2019
