Your Horoscope This Week

Your Horoscope This Week

We’re in for a slightly easier week, but keep in mind that Uranus is still settling into Taurus, bringing plenty of change with it. It’ll be up to us to learn how to accept these shifts as they arrive in our lives suddenly and unexpectedly.

To help us cope with the explosions going off around us, Venus moves out of chatty Gemini and into the nurturing, nostalgic waters of Cancer on 19th May. Venus in Cancer loves to swaddle herself and those she loves in devotion and kindness. For the moment, she’s in charge of Uranus (Venus rules the signs of Taurus and Libra), nudging us to change how we nurture different aspects of our lives. After last week’s chaotic energy, a little kindness could go a long way.

On Monday, 21st May, the sun leaves the lushness of Taurus for curious and controversial Gemini (Happy Birthday, Gem!). The heavens will want us to feel more confident (in ourselves and our actions) as the sun trines with Mars in unconventional Aquarius. Life is new and different now. You don’t have to have all the answers, but you do have to show up and do your best. Sound good? Let’s go!

May 21 to June 20

Happy solar return, Gemini! The radiant sun returns to your sign this week, heralding the start of yet another year spent stirring the pot. Sorry, I won’t rag on you during your birthday season, but your famous fellow Gems make it almost too easy (cough, Kanye). You can learn from the missteps of your Gemini brethren, though. If you really want to be ahead of the wave, the heavens are urging you to pick up a book, start a class, find a tutor, or even do a few Google searches to gather more information on the world around you. Trust, this will be far more helpful than relying on the random bits of conversation you overhear at the salon.

Be invested in what you’re aiming to learn. It’s great to be a jack of all trades and know a little about a lot of things, but for what reason? Definitely go out and enjoy yourself, but while you’re at it, tune into the big and small picture of your life to date. What have you created so far — and what would you like to do next? Find something that engages both your heart and mind this birthday. You’ll blow our minds with what you discover as soon as you do.

June 21 to July 22

Venus moving into your house of self will be urging you to enjoy more you time, Cancer. Love up on yourself. Give yourself an extra helping of self-care and self-love. That could look like more long soaks in the tub, more home cooked meals, or extra scoops of ice cream — whatever you need to feel sparkly.

After weeks of toughing it out in your relationships, it’s important to remind yourself that you deserve the same care, love, and attention you show to others. Spending extra time and money on yourself will make bonding with partners easier as you won’t be relying on them for validation. Take care of yourself first and the rest will follow If anyone has a problem with that, tell them to take it up with management.

July 23 to August 22

You may have to hold your own council this week and rely on only your intuition to make decisions around your career and hopes for the future, Leo. In times of change, insecurities about where we’re going in life tend to crop up. It’s comforting to look to your friends and partners during these periods, but be careful that you don’t allow them to influence the decisions that are yours alone to make. Feel free to listen to the ideas of others in order to chisel some of your own.

You don’t have to commit to a decision just yet, but pay attention to who is fired up and ready to fight for their vision and see if you align with them. Creative solutions can be discovered through tension and friction. During your more solitary moments, daydream about the things that you secretly love and desire, then ask yourself how you can bring that energy to life for everyone to see. Here’s to drafting the blueprints to your new kingdom.

August 23 to September 22

Hope you’re ready in the wings, Virgo, because it’s time for you to hit the stage and show us what you’ve been working on. It probably won’t be perfect, let alone the final draft of your vision, but there’s something about honouring the work done to date that can keep your creative fire burning bright. With this week’s potential changes, you may have to be less rigid and more creative with your daily habits. There’s a chance that your comfy routine will clash with the new principles you’re trying to incorporate into your life. Keep in mind that there are many different ways to get the same results, so stop worrying about what the exact process looks like.

The heavens are putting your career and reputation in the spotlight, so keeping your networking skills sharp should be a priority this week. Connect with those who wish to capitalize on their creativity and reimagine their worldview — in other words, find people who share your goals. Be sure to keep extra business cards handy and don’t be shy when talking about yourself or your dope ideas. You’re a package deal, Virgo. Start acting like you know.

September 23 to October 22

Thankfully, most of the conflicts from the past few weeks are starting to die down for you, Libra. Instead of focusing on the struggles you faced (and the people who may or may not be on your shit list), look at all the valuable lessons you learned from this trial by fire. This week, turn your challenges into teachable moments for others. The heavens are urging you to step into the role of teacher and nurturer for those who could benefit from your wise perspective.

You’re a natural diplomat with a knack for helping others see both sides of a situation, so why not use your strengths to support those who are going through their own version of hell? It’s in your Libran nature to encourage others to keep going. If you’re really up for a challenge, why not facilitate a potluck or roundtable so people can have a safe space to let off steam? Anything you can do to keep peace in the world is deeply appreciated, Libra, and you know you want to lend a hand.

October 23 to November 21

You’ve been busy socialising, fine-tuning your message, and learning new things from others, Scorp. In that time, hopefully you’ve connected with people who make you feel even more passionate about the projects you’ve been working with since the beginning of the year. Pay attention to the topics and events that inspire you. If you want to transform the world, it’s best to have fire in your belly.

Your passions are worth fighting for, so if you encounter challenges, remind yourself of the bigger picture and who stands to benefit from hearing your message. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do this alone. The heavens are sending in plenty of fellow revolutionaries to keep you going as they stand by your side. You’ve got this.

November 22 to December 21

You’re being called back into the realm of the living, Sag, or at least the world of those with social lives. This week will ask you to partner with others and create with them, too. But what do you want to create, exactly? Let go of the fear, doubt, and judgement you’ve been carrying around and allow what feels good in the moment to guide you instead.

It’s not a bad idea to reexamine your fears around intimacy and partnering, then do your best to release them so that they don’t interfere with your current relationships (e.g.: Don’t be a flake!). Show up for your one-on-one dates, open up about the things that worry you, and observe how people support you to feel more at ease. The journey toward what you want may be long, but it doesn’t have to be unpleasant. You decide how this story unfolds, Archer. Try to have a good time.

December 22 to January 19

All you need is love, Sea Goat. No, really. You need plenty of love, laughter, playfulness, and creativity in your life — period. Why? Well, for balance, so that you don’t grind yourself down to a nub while striving toward your goals, but also to keep you tuned into your heart during challenging times.

When you know what you love and value, it’s difficult to be led astray. When you know what fills you with joy and you take the time to practice it every day, it reinforces your life’s trajectory. And when you commit to acting from a place of happiness, you’re extremely attractive to others who may be looking in your direction. You’re like a magnet with the ability to attract whatever you focus on, Cap. Why not point your attention beam at a little love just for the sake of it? You never know who will be captivated by your vibes.

January 20 to February 18

Like Captain America waking up from his long, chilly nap, you, too, are returning to the world, Water Bearer. Your energy and inspiration have been recharged and it’s as good a time as any to reintroduce yourself to the public. Your first order of business is to toss any emotional or physical clutter that’s holding you back at home. You’ve been there, done that, and you know that most of your fears are imagined. But don’t be surprised if a few of those fears (especially the ones you’ve held onto since you were a kid) come up as you attempt to come out of your cocoon. That’s to be expected, so just remember to breathe.

After that, go outside and play, get plenty of fresh air, go to a movie, and loosen up. You’ll get to all your grand plans and schemes in due time, but now just focus on staying in good spirits and creating a routine that makes you feel cared for. One step at a time Aquarius. You can definitely meet your goals without having to beat yourself up along the way. Keep listening and dancing to the rhythm of your own drum — you’re inspiring the rest of us to do the same.

February 19 to March 20

Heads up, Pisces: With Mars digging around in your unconscious this week, you may find yourself feeling more irritable and angry. That’s okay — anger can fuel us to move out of our comfort zones. Irritation can push us to address the things that get on our nerves head on.

This week, write your frustrations down or vent them out with close friends who can handle your angst. In doing so, you’ll get a better idea of what you need to feel more grounded at home. Plus, it will help you lighten up enough to indulge in your favourite creative activities. When’s the last time you cranked out a short story or dabbled in your watercolours just for the fun of it? Your current woes might make for great material. Why not try to funnel your feelings into productive creation? You’ll feel much better when you do.

March 21 to April 19

It’ll feel great to spend time in the privacy of your own home right now, Aries. Life has been one unexpected change after the other since 2011 for you. Now that Uranus has moved from your sign to Taurus, you can put down your armour for a short break. Think of it like coming home after a very challenging semester of school and getting to indulge in all the comforts of home. That said, you may find that adjustments need to be made at home to make it more welcoming as opposed to just the place you drop all your stuff before venturing out to do battle again. Quality rest and nourishment will eventually get you back in the mood to socialise and even reflect on the twists and turns your life has taken over the years. Think of how you and your values are changing and what bold, new direction you want to take next.

Remind yourself that this is a year of embracing your self-expression and how you use it to shape your external world. Take note of insightful conversations with the people who both encourage and challenge your vision. They’re all on board to push you into the future.

April 20 to May 20

You aren’t known for being the chattiest Zodiac sign, but this week you may want to put your communication skills to work. They just might be what keeps your head above water amid the whirlpool of change that’s happening both in and around you. You’ll have to speak up for yourself and your changing desires in order to avoid circumstances you don’t enjoy anymore. Keep this in mind especially in regards to your work and reputation. The old you may have liked staying after hours to finish extra spreadsheets, but the new you isn’t feeling it anymore. Vocalise those feelings, Taurus. Yes, some people will be miffed that you’ve flipped the story a bit, but they’ll deal. Play with the idea that your thoughts and words are creating a new reality bit by bit. Staying honest about what you want to unfold will serve you in the end.

Spend time with close friends, siblings, and those who encourage you to learn new things. They’ll help you get a grasp on the version of yourself that’s starting to emerge. Authenticity looks good on you, Taurus. Keep up the good work.
